Huawei subsidiary brought us a very pleasant surprise, the new Honor Magic Watch 2 smartwatch. It’s not even a year since its predecessor was launched, but with all it has to offer, it will certainly be welcomed with “open arms”.
Magic Watch 2 comes with two variants – 46 mm and 42 mm – and one of the highlights is its autonomy of up to 14 days of continuous use. Two weeks of autonomy are promised on the 46 mm model, while the shortest promises 7 days of use on a single charge.
Honor Magic Watch 2 offers great value for money
While not coming with the WearOS operating system, the Huawei subsidiary’s new smartwatch offers excellent value for money. However, keep in mind that the absence of an app store means that you will not be able to install Apps on your smartwatch.
In addition to the difference in autonomy and size of the AMOLED screen (1.4″ and 1.2″ inches), both models come with the same specifications.
The Honor Magic Watch 2 comes with a 361L stainless steel construction and guarantees water resistance up to 5ATM. The smartwatch takes advantage of its endurance level by incorporating specific functionality to monitor and analyze performance during swimming activities.
Your biometric sensor is active all day long, analyzing your heart rate patterns to warn you of potential abnormalities. As with other smartwatches, it will also analyze the quality of sleep, being able to diagnose up to 6 common types of sleep related problems.
With regard to its fitness features, you will have 15 modes to monitor various activities. To improve your outdoor performance, you will have built-in GPS and GLONASS, eliminating the need to have your smartphone present.
Unfortunately, you will not be able to count on support for any of the music streaming services. So if you have a Spotify, Google Music or Apple Music account, you won’t be able to use with the Honor Watch 2. Instead, it comes with an integrated mp3 player and you can count on 2GB of internal memory just for storing music.
